THE “COMPOUND” OR “SPIRITUAL”
NUMBERS FULLY DESCRIBED
Root numbers and In the preceding chapters I have given the meanings of what are called the principal or “single” number – also called the “root” numbers – from 1 to 9. I will now proceed with the next step in this curious study of Numerology, namely, the explanation of the occult symbolism given to what are called the “double” or “compound” numbers, and how such knowledge may be made use of in everyday life.
Although this is a much more advanced and more difficult part of the study of numbers,
I will endeavour to make it as clear and as easy to understand as I have endeavoured to do with the single numbers in the earlier chapters. Before launching out into this side of the subject, I must, I feel, give a few words of explanation so as to prepare my readers for what is to follow.
Spritual numbers and I have already explained that the single numbers denote what the man or woman appears to e in the eyes of their fellow mortals, while the double or compound numbers show the hidden influences that play their role behind the scenes as it were, and in some mysterious way often fore-scenes as it were, and in some mysterious way often fore-shadow the future or the hidden current of destiny of the individual.
Spritual numbers and When one passes the major or root numbers of 1 to 9, what is called the greater symbolism of numbers commences, and continues until 5 times 9 is reached, or the number 45; at this point the mystical number of 7 is brought into operation and added to the number of 45, producing 52, which stands for the 52 weeks of a year.
This number of 52, multiplied by 7, gives 364 as the ordinary days of the year in that ancient period of time when trade unionism had not made its appearance. Double or compound numbers and These ancient and wonderful people, however, used the 365th day of each year as the one great festival holiday of all, and no work of any kind was allowed to be done by man, woman, child, or beast.
This number of 365 is based on the passage of the Sun through the twelve divisions of the Zodiac, which is the origin of the calculation of the year period which is found in every civilization in Spritual numbers.
